advance auto may have it, but you have two of them there, start looking around the floor, i bet it got kicked somewhere.

i just hooked one up its still making that horrible grumbling noise it eventually turns off after a few seconds and has no response when i hit the pedal. I did notice that smoke is coming out of the manifold area it may have a leak or crack there or on the tube.
i was taking a look at the cross over pipe and i think it took too much weight when lifting out the old engine, it has a visible mark around/under the tube where the cable wrapped around. I never intended for this area to take any of the weight but i guess it took enough. I could be wrong but ill take pics of it anyway along with a video. I dont have youtube is there a a site for videos like tinypic?
Right after the video was cut smokes starts to come out of exhaust man areas the noise is loudest at the mnaifold going to downpipe
yup thats a monster exhaust leak. one thats fixed it should run smoother. the other cross over pipe should fit if the one in there is bend up.
stick your hands around the joint to feel for air hitting your hands to narrow down the leak area. could be the down pipe too.
im almost sure the crossover is bent and it maybe be causing a hole at both ends where the pipe meets with manifolds. I wish my car would stay on for more than a minute so i could see exactly where smoke is coming out but it sounds horrible after the first min starts sputtering and shaking and i cant help but turn it off.
The noise seems to be coming from the point where the rear manifold connects with the exhaust pipe, I hope this isnt compromised in anyway i dont see how it could be.
you had the metal gasket in the dp right? made the bolts tight?
same for the head to manifold, you had a metal gasket on there right?
best to let it cool off, then get under it running and feel for the leak.
yes i had made sure those gaskets were on. ill be down there in a bit to make sure everything is tightened properly etc. should i remove the cross over and inspect it now or wait to turn it on again and put my hand againt those areas where it meets
OK so i didnt tighten the nuts that connect to the down pipe enough. that made all the difference now my car sounds like car not a harley its still shaking though i think it may stay on now though. what a relief..
edit- theres also smoke coming out of the crossover pipe and rear manifold union. is there a way to tell which is compromised? i know the crossover is for sure but what about that manifold? Do i just install a new crossover and take it from there?

Make sure the plug wire order is correct.
That might be why the motor is still shaking and misfiring.
The order is the same for NA and supercharged cars, this picture is just a reference.

I did double check the wiring order and its in place. I tightend everything down and it sounds very nice and quiet but it still sputters and leaks from the crossover area to rear manifold area. Im gona go get that part from the yard right now ill post videos of it installed later. i really hope this works I still cant figure out why im not getting an response when i push on the gas pedal th engine doesnt rev.
