It might at idle in traffic, but when you are running down the freeway air is going to be forced into the engine compartment and the pressure differential inside the compartment will be much less and that is what draws keeps air flowing through the radiator. The higher the pressure differential the more air will pass through the radiator. I had issues last summer with the temp not being able to remain stable at freeway speed in 90+ degree weather. The temp would climb until I hit the fan turn on temp. The car should not have to rely on fans when moving at freeway speeds. I made some changes at the end of summer to combat that so we'll see if it works. Vents forward near the middle or front of the engine would be nice, but I haven't seen anything that wouldn't look hideous.
