you need a o2 extention. zzp sells them. BUT.

if you can solder you make your longer. you cut the plug off the cars harness, leave the wire 4 inches or so long, then solder in 3 feet of wire to each of the wires, then solder the plug back on.

i did mine so long so it could reach to the strut tower, then drop down to the rack area to the o2. this way it cant melt on the header at all.

you will need to hammer the firewall to clear the o2 so it dont hit the fire wall. if you dont clearance it it will hit and cause false KR and it can also break from hitting.

i was unable to make the fire wall move with the header in place. so i moved my o2 to the cross over.

    Nice
What gauge wire did you use?
I hit the fire wall and was able to screw the sensor in, but the wires are to close to the fire wall
    Will that work you think

you'll find out soon enough if its dented enough.

i really dont recall the size, it was a little bit thicker then the factory harness wires. solder and shrink tubes to seal em. i got a 10 foot roll of wire at the parts store. then tapped the wires up to keep em tight.

do not try to cut the o2's plug off and make it longer, that wont work, theres a stainless steel wire that you cant solder to.

There's also a sensor that Blueguy mentioned a few times with a longer pigtail.. so you don't have to extend.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

my 98 the trans tube fit, i just bent it about a 1/2 inch off the cross over. the 04 up cars seem to need a older dip stick installed.

    thanks...one more question.
i've always seen here that they cost 200 bucks and the downpipe is included . just looking at ebay and it looks like the 200 deal doesn't get you a downpipe.

with the downpipe looks to be 309 bucks

the down pipe is there, its the 3 short pipes in the bottom row of pipes. why you need two 3 inch band clamps.

i guess 300 aint to bad. much cheaper to jump in and do it yourself. theres not a whole lot to it.

all i can think of is that ad is for the suckers out there. why buy a extra down pipe?

like i said the 3 short pipes are the 3 inch down pipe. take the middle part out and a cat fits in its place.

is their an O2 bung in the flanged section ? will an extension be needed ? would i want the 3inch inlet/outlet or the 2.5 ? can they be clamped instead of welded ?

yes one for up and down stream o2's. yes a extension is needed, the fire wall needs to be hammered in too so th eo2 dont hit.

why would you want 2.5? the short pipe with the flange is the reducer. yes you can use clamps, get band clamps.

oops sorry for the confusion. i was looking at cats at zzp and they offer different size in and outs(2.5 or 3 inch). if the DP section is 3 inch what size cat in/out would i want if i was to use clamps instead of welding it on ?
