its funny....you hear a lot of 3.8 guys talk trash about them, and now im seeing people put down 280-290 whp with just headers intake and tune...gotta hail the almighty LS.
Remove me from the list. I just traded my 2006 GP GXP in for a 2009 G8 GT.
2006 GXP

I will get some up to date pics tomorrow of the grand prix and my Camaro is at a shop so that will have to wait
What is the main thing people change on their gxps?

Not really change but the addition of an external trans cooler is usually first.

I was just looking at that. Does that help with the trans problems that are common

It extends the life of the trans. Problem with gxp trans is that they get way to hot. Last summer mine got up to 223F.

What one do you recommend?

U can get one from the parts store but the one i have is from tripleedgeperformance.com. those guys work on nothing but grand prix transmissions

or forget the cooler and live in Minnesota where its ****lNG below 0 half the mother ****ling year!
You can also do some running and have the fans turn on earlier. If I remember correctly mine come on at 198 or 203 or something like that and shut off at 191. Somewhere in that range
It would just take a loooonnnggg time for the car to warm up i assume
