SO I used to have a DD GTP with Plog pulley tune plugs and down pipe. Was great fun for a simple DD. Had it from 10,000 miles to 110.000 miles and finally traded it in. Just bought myself another DD GTP. ITs a 99 with 56,000 miles on it one owner car.

I want it to be a reliable mid to low 13 second car and I was figuring the following would work well. Please keep in mind that it needs to pass CA emisions so any suggestions or tips are welcome. Not worried about visual just tail pipe and OBDII

PLOG with Down Pipe or Headers (cheapy Ebay ones.).
Intercooler (one the fence for SS or full 2.25)
    Rockers 1.9's
Pulley 3.4-3.2 (whateer gets me to mid to low 13's)
    Tune

Will this get me to my goals.

    thanks

    Eric

P.S. I am no stranger to horse power.

Just cause I was bored, here are random 1/4 mile times put together based on 13.9, 13.5, and 13.0 from Club GP...no turbo'd vehicles....anytime you see just PCM, nothing was specified other than programming...most if not all drivers also has suspension upgrades consisting of but not limitied to STBs, Poly mounts, various GMPP suspension upgrades, etc....not many specified strut/spring combos nor did anyone list upgrades such as control arms or Axle upgrades....and unless mentioned, all assumptions point to stock transmission....

just put a cam in it (vs, s1x, xp) and slap a downpipe on the car. it'll run great and be really reliable.

of course that cam goes along with the other mumbo jumbo that you need. i would rather run a cam than an intercooler, 100%.

How many hours for a cam swap? Will it pass CA emissions?

there are many people that are "modified" in Cali and pass.

Personally, id do a IC over the cam espically in California.

I went 12.50 on stock heads and cam with an IC and supporting mods
