Sub and amp

Ok havnt don this before. Can't b hard. I wired many head units. I spend my time on motors not sound systems. I bought my 97 gp and I see the owner before me had a system in it. I see the power cable with no fuse. Ik I gota put that in. in the dash ivsee a red and black RCA cable yes the ends are that color. I assume that goes in back my deck ? I then see a single blue wire. mine you all 3 run to my trunk . I assume that blue wire is for remote wire on deck?

Yes, now just finish with the other missing parts, amp, sub, speaker wire, ground, and you have a system.

With the amp and sub in will my speakers in the car only do high and mids? Cus the 6x9s rattle as of now

Well that is a question up for discussion. As they are wired your speakers are full range, meaning that there is no crossover to limit high or low frequencies. Without knowing the specifics of your speakers I couldn't begin to tell you what frequencies your speakers are going to play. Most likely 50-15khz.

i added a sub and amp to my stock radio, it adds a nice thump and makes the whole system a bit louder as well. its just enough to keep me happy sound wise.

i used a single 12 inch sub, and a 500 watt amp.

i did install new speakers as my stock ones were shot.

So it is a crossover that keeps the lows away from the speakers?

Did a lil reading. Some decks have high pass filters on them. And if not i can turn the bass all the way down and play with amp output just to balance it all out

Looked at my Manuel itbdoes have filter to send signals under Certain hz. Only to the sub

It keeps the lows away from everything but the subs, personally I like it better, it makes everything a lot louder and clearer

Your amp may have a low pass filter built in but that does no good to the speakers because the amp is not powering the speakers only the sub. So you are sending a full range signal to your full range speakers, they will play what ever frequencies they will play. If you have a filter built into your headunit that will help to eliminate the lower frequencies from being played. I would set that at 100hz minimum and see how you like it and adjust to fit your needs.
