its easy it took me an hour.
put car on ramps
pull dogbones and plugs
remove manifolds and cat
put in front header
put jack and board under cradle and drop the rear cradle bolts like an inch
slide in rear header
dont fully tighten anything untill you get the crossover in, rtv and wiggling helps
tighten everything up
install band clamps and downpipe
raise cradle
install plugs
install dogbones
start car
check for leaks
done
Yeah it took so long because I dident know you had to drop the cradle down but now it's golden also have one other little problem the cat delete is to short and also is the down pipe in my pic support to be that low?
A hour ? C'mon...I mean not necessarily doubting you but its take the average person longer then that. A few things to factor is the downpipe bolts being a ***** to get out as well as going back and forth finding different extensions for what you need it for. I always tell someone to give there self a weekend in case things don't go smoothly.
either piece it together with auto parts store pipe, or measure what you need to be filled in, and bring the pipe to a shop to filled in. cant cost to much either way.
yup an hour, i just read bills guide and had all my tools i needed to the side of me and banged it out. It did go easy fro me though suprisingly, for once something did on this thing. i had the headers in in an hour and the downpipe took longer cus i was searching for a cat that would fit in perfect where the downpipe goes but ended up saying **** it and just went catless
Haha it was a easy decision for me to go catless. Already replaced the stock car once (GM warranted it) right before I started my build I found chunks of metel from the inside of the cat outside exhaust tips so knew I would be having to replace it once again and well no emissions. All signs pointed to going catless. I do need to get a retune though.
First time doing headers I think it took me like 6-7 hours or so. I get sidetracked easily between drinking, my phone, my dog and just b/s'ing.
2 time took maybe a hour. Heads were already off. The subframe was already dropped a bit. All the manifolds were already off. Was just a matter of getting underneath the car and tightening everything up.
Take a pictures of your crossover as well. You kind of have to use a mallet and bang the crossover as you start to line up the front header bolts. It won't go directly on just throwing it together.
