    Does anyone no if u can buy an intermediate steering shaft cheaper then 130 bucks from the dealer new. Just thought I'd try get one cheaper but I want a new one not used thanks for any help.

    Wonder how hard one is to replace?

    not gonna lie, it kinda sucks to replace one.

    stupid sleeve/boot that surrounds the shaft is a pita. At least its master splined

    the boots are nothing, its getting it back on the rack and column that sucks.

    its the boot that makes getting it back on difficult imo. "A" bodies or k or c trucks have no boot and its a 20min job.

    scotty its not that hard gezz its just a bit small in some places lol. its not that hard once you get your column out. just 1 big hammer to bang one end on the column then fit it on the boot then bolt it in its really took me 2 hrs to do. and it took that long because I was doing my laundry lol.

    the one i put one fought me tooth and nail on the column side, the rack side went right on. cut my finger on something real sharp on the column side too. whole job just pissed me off from the get go. i spent a easy 2 hours on it.

    Just finished mine 2 minutes ago. FMFLFUMFB

    Yea time for a cold beer. Job was easy overall.

    Jacked car up
    Took off wheel.
    Made sure wheel was straight
    Lifted up boot inside wheel well
    Took out bolt (11mm)
    Stretched under the dash
    Turned wheel a bit to get nut off shaft
    Took out screw
    Made sure wheel stayed where it started
    Greesed it. ( a little bit of a ***** for my without the rubber, i used my thumb, very messy)
    Stuck shaft back in (alignment pin makes it easy)
    Screwed in top
