I had and sold my hp tuners (hardware and CD) a while back but still kept the software installed on my laptop in case I ever would get another one in the future. Fast forward to today, I just bought one through someone on here and will be getting it in the mail. My question is, do I need to reinstall the software side or can I still use the software that’s still on my laptop?

You can go in and change the er uh.. Key code. Whatever they call it. You don't have to reinstall or even update. Just change the key to the one that works with the box and you are all set.

    Been there...done that.

Freeman... I've run older and newer versions of the software and likely have the latest in my dropbox if you need/want it.

The key was to change the key code, that's how it accepts the other box and what is unlocked on it.

People are angry about the beta lol, it's one reason I never requested to use it yet.

    That and I don't have a dodge/ford to tune.

2.25 will work on the gm **** too. It's kinda nice now though cause I don't have to flash both pcm and Tcm everyone I can pick one or the other and I do likeep the UI tweaks. Now I just 2.24 scanner paste my results in excel fill emtpty data with zeros and paste into 2.25 works fine

So what if it's beta. You know how many bonnevilles etc they had to open for me and tossed me a beta version. Geeesh

when I went to the dyno to get some tuning done, the guy had the beta, and it was giving all kinds of erroneous data, like the ltft was showing -100

Sure beta can.. The guy should have immediately loaded his last good version and been good to go.

Because they update their stuff and add new functionality?

Beta means ... check things and know they might not be 100%. If you can work with that, they it's good. Soon enough they fix any bugs and it becomes a full on updated version.

Maybe you prefer a buggy, never worked out, mapped on only certain OSID DHP?

was using 2.24.174 and my scanner was showing some crazy readings like the other person mentioned above such as -100 LTFT/STFT, -40* for both IAT and ECT and -64* for advance timing, no RPM or MPH reading and 50% max TPS when i went full throttle (MAF was working as it hit ~9400hz). i uninstalled and installed 2.24.1165 and still same issue. whats everyone else using version wise for scanning?

currently just installed 2.24.951 from bills dropbox. havent scanned yet.
