I understand I'm just trying to figure out how to do this the right way so I can get it tuned. I have 17 days before the proving grounds and I want to drop a pulley size still but I'm seeing kr with a stock pulley with SD headers, 1.84 roller rockers, and 4" intake on a 04 comp g

i tuned about 5* of KR out of my car, using eddies only. its doable.

make sure the o2 is not hitting the fire wall, that can cause false KR.

OK so I did a very bad thing last night.

I think I bricked my ecu. I was writing a tune and half way through my laptop shut down for some restart nonsense. I started it back up and tried to connect to the ecu again and it says that it has no osid and there is no Vin in the ecu. So I tired writing to it. I got a full write in the vehicle. And all the light in the car come on and I try to start and the gauge cluster goes black and it won't crank.

Do I need a new ecu? And if so do I need to take it to a dealership? Its an 04 comp g

sounds like it needs a security learn. if you wrote a bin file to it thats not the same as your cars that can happen.

turn key to and try to crank, leave it at run for 10 minutes, then turn it off for 10 seconds, then try to crank it and leave it at run for 10 minutes, then off for 10 seconds, then one more time, the 4 th time it should crank and fire up.

during this, turn the parking lights off, (put ebrake on) the radio, hvac. roll the window down, do the key turning from outside the car. if your battery is weak, put a charger on it cause the key will be to run for 30 minutes and if the battery dies your starting over.

do not open the door or operate anything in the car during this.

So shut radio off, fan off, put ON ebrake, roll down window and move key from outside. Sounds good I'll try it when I get home from work

ive had to this a few times after installing new pcm's or a full reflash with a different ossi #.

being you crashed during the write the pcm may be blank now and its just needs the security learn done.

I'm going to try. Is there any way I could go to something like a 05 ecu. They have a lot more table to modify than a 04

pretty sure you can use the 05, but you would need to flash the 04 bin to it i think. i maybe wrong tho. i dont know much about the 05 pcms themselves.

unplug the battery for a while, charge the battery or have it tested. as well as the alt. leaving the battery off should reset the pcm and maybe its normal when you hook a fully charged battery up.

see if you left a light on or something, it died for a reason.
