Ran into an issue. When I transferred my tune files over via jump drive and tried to edit its telling me i dont have a license for the file. I can view them in the editor but cant save changes and then upload a tune. Ill keep trying and advise.

Winner winner chicken dinner^^^^^^thx FFDP good to go. Its still a PITA to edit on it even tho is has a trackpad mouse. But most of the time im only making small changes. I would not want to change a ton of tables on this thing. It will get a ton of use regardless. Im headed out to Door County Wi tomorrow so ill test out the scanning and battery life.
It works!!
Full functionality on a 7" tablet. Read the PCM, made some changes, flashed a tune. Confirmed the scanner working too.
I'm thinking, for future reference people could post the specs on what they're using. Also, If you tried something and it didn't work so people know what to avoid.

Initial impressions...
If you need to make a bunch of changes with a lot of inputs, this is not the right tool. If you just need to make a quick change to a couple of parameters, this thing is perfect. Should be great for scanning too. The biggest benefit for me is, now I don't have to haul my laptop out whenever I need to scan.
Now someone needs to try this with one of those AVT boxes and DHP.
Was hoping you had good luck with yours as well. Ill post specs when I get home. I scanned for almost 90 minutes on my ride up to Door County and will do the same home. Have the screen brightness all the way up and sleep setting off wonder if it will last the whole ride back.
Here is the one I got from BestBuy for $149.99 it was a bundle special that included the keyboard that has the USB 2.0 port in it. If you just buy the tablet it only has the micro USB port. I have also confirmed that the micro USB port works fine as well if you get a micro USB to USB 2.0 adapter like BrandonHall10 has so you dont have to get the keyboard but you do get a trackpad mouse on the keyboard as well.

I ordered a different micro USB adapter maybe there might be hope for my tablet yet
Winning! Lenovo came through with the right adapter now all my usb shut works like it should have. The others were junk
Other than the tiny screen size, I did find one other "con" with my setup. The micro USB is not the most secure connection, and will come loose without too much effort. Gotta have that cable just right. I need a mount....
When I was using mine without the keyboard with the normal USB 2.0 I had the micro USB wiggle loose as well. Also when I use it with the keyboard mine is a bit top heavy and tends to tip over on the passenger seat. I picked up a fine tip stylus as well and that work way better than my sausage fingers. Editing on mine has gotten a lot easier once I got use to the size as well. Now I just need an off board rig from scotty :-)
Anyone know where to find a tablet seat mount locally? I see a bunch online but would like to see one in person before I buy. I've tried Best buy and Walmart so far with no luck.
so, I have been looking around at tablets to use for tuning, and found this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._detailpages00
usb 3.0 full size, and a micro hdmi output.
Is it for everyday use, or JUST for tuning? That's literally double what I paid for my HP Stream 7. Not the most powerful thing, but it runs HPTuners and surfs the web without issue.
Looks like the one you show has a lot of nice features though.
I'll probably use it for both. they had a used one for sale that I picked up, and ended up being 135 with shipping. there is one that is about 100 with most of the same features. the thing that sold me was having the usb 3.0 port. not having an adapter will be convenient.
Having a 3.0 port is great if the hardware supports that technology but it dosent. Having a regular USB will work just fine
