So why don't. You email them? They'll add stuff especially when the code is already there.

Just cause you had a bad experience and we're unable to successfully flash dose t mean the other tens of thousands people will. Hpt support is actually quite good. Theyve always got all my requests handled

DHP sucks. The only time I ever use mine is when I need a bin.

It would be nice if HPT gave us more tables, but at least the program reads bin files. It would be much more inconvenient if they limited it to hpt files.

Frosty- til you can find the crank fueling tables, look for crank spark tables in HPT and try adding it in increments of 5 and see if it helps. My car started a little better after adding fuel but adding spark at startup made more of a noticeable difference IMO. something to try in the meantime

Reread the thread. I found the table and successfully modified it. Car starts effortlessly now. Cranking timing wasn't touched. Only fuel.

Also hpt has zero access to any cranking tables so I used a bin file and tiny tuner.

You can brick a pcm with hpt just as easily.

I've never done it, and I've tuned far more vehicles with HPT than DHP.

I have had a few scares on mine. Laptop shutting down or other whatnot. HPT always was able to recover it. Adeckers car has some major can bus issues and his has to do a recovery flash every 5 flashes it seems like.

I had a blue screen of death while flashing, however all it took was a battery unplug for a hour or two and a re flash and everything was good.

    2 bricks here with dhp

1st was someone shutting the ign switch off by habit while getting out of their car...after it lobotomized the pcm and started writing. FUuuuuu

2nd was the 04+ as i was trying to see where the pcm voltage limit is (aka 04+ can brick a pcm quite easily if ign voltage isnt over 11.5...so i built an offboard)

ive been able to flash 7440's down to 10 volts without issue
