Sorting out pe and wot fueling yesterday and notice Jo matter what I can't exceed 88kpa @wot. I'm kind of thinking it has to do with 4700ft of altitude but thought it was strange giving my upgrades. Any thoughts?

    Vacuum leak?

Does the MAP ever read 100 KPA but then go down to 88?

I'm sitting here thnking...I've never looked this up on an NA motor. 88 would still show just a bit of vacuum. Which technically you are pulling in air.. Pulling this off the hip though
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

You reading this on HPT's graph?

There is a glitch that won't allow it to read higher than 88kpa.

^^ Damn.. learn something new all the time

BTW..I would have tested for this by unplugging the map vac line and turning the key to on w/o starting the motor.

Yes reading through HP tuners. I'm curious about this information though where did you find that at? And thank you everybody for your replies

I found it somewhere on their forum. Couldn't even begin to tell you where.

If you are looking at the "Chart" you should see it read with a max of 88kpa (or whatever it is)

If you open up the "Table", it should give you accurate readings.

PITA, but oh well. This puzzled me for years, until I read that post.

I'm not 100% sure that this is your issue, but check it out, and let us know what you find.

I would say vacuum leak. Pulled up one of my logs and it shows 97-98 at WOT on each display.

like bill said turn key on and do not start and check what the MAP reads. as there will be no vac and you will see actual reading of ATM pressure. down here in FL I regularly see 103 kpa. and prob have hit 104 at one point or another. but yes watching MAP readings is a good indicator if your intake system is restrictive at WOT.

Just wanted to bump this. And note that with key off night or day my max kpa reading is 88 key off and of course engine on. I'm pondering if the 4700 ft elevation plays this big of a role.

That's exactly where it should be for your altitude.

Good I was thinking that as well but couldn't confirm that in other threads main reason I updated was when I did the intake swap Italso came with a brand new map sensor so I wanted re verify my numbers. Thanks matt
