Well, It's been over a week with the new gp and having a serious issue with E-test. Wilbur (my car) was originally a gt but was blessed with a 98 gtp motor and trans. This car will not go through an E-test as it is running way too rich. So in order to deal with the underlining problem I figure it's the pcm custom tune. So off I went to get a factory gtp pcm from a 40th anniversary car and brought it straight home to fix the problem. Unbeknownst to me the pcm in the car is the gt pcm which was probably tuned for a gtp. so the plugins fit but when I hooked it up the fans automatically kicked in and the car wont start. So I am wondering if there is an adapter out somewhere to go from a gt pcm to a gtp pcm or are they the same pins? I am at a loss and the worst part of it is that the more I type this in the more I feel like an ass .

    What year is Wilbur?

96/97 pcms are different than 98-02. You'll likely have trouble with a GTP pcm because of the vin being incorrect. I assume Etest will check your vin.

Wilbur is a 97, what year pcm did you plug in? If it wasn't a 97, then Nixon is incorrect. He's wrong based on assuming and that's the worst kinda wrong a guy can be. I know from experience.

97 and 98-02 had different pinouts. The fans shouldn't have kicked on when you tried that pcm.
