I have already installed a PCM [used], a Thrasher CAI and MSD ignition coils. By next week i will also have installed a 3.5" pulley.

The PCM was in a 00 GTP mine is a 99 GTP, I have not had any noticeable difficulties\problems. Is their something I should do to maximize the performance? If I need a tune can purchase a computer\software to do so?

I have seen a few posts where people had problems swapping PCM's because the new PCM's haven't been tuned to their vehicle. If that was the case would i notice a problem without scanning?

Personally, I used to have a DHP pcm, but I sold it and bought a tuner. By far the best mod I have even done. Not only the help with getting your tune exactly set to your car, but the fuel mileage increase that I am getting on the road is outstanding. Definitely worth the money. And yes, you can do it yourself. It's not hard, but does take some work.

Thanks for the help, what brand tuner would you recommend? Does any one else have tuners that they have a good experience with, if so what name brand are they?

    Thanks again.

DHP Powertuners dont exist anymore unless you get one used. The next step would be HP Tuners, but its kind of on the expensive side and a little less user friendly, ive heard.

I have never used HP Tuners, but I do have a DHP PowrTuner. I found the PT very easy to use, and with some reading, I got a fairly good tune on my car. And HP Tuners is almost twice what a used DHP would cost.

And if you are looking for a DHP PowrTuner, I have my spare one for sale. Contact me or see my thread in the FS section.
