    Ok my dad has a 94 grand prix and he put a 95 grand am motor in it what type of pcm whould he need to make this work?

    yea it is for some reason it want stay running it was start for a sec and then shut right off we thought it was the security shutting it off. do you have any clue what this could be?

    can you scan it for codes? dont know if there is a way to get the car to flash the SES code thru the dash lights or something. did you check all the sensors. if it were OBD2 i would say the maf could be damaged or unplugged.

    sounds like a security thing to me... did you try locking and unlocking the doors?

    We had a sunfire that did the same thing after a pcm change. the tech read somwhere that if you leave the ignition switch on until the security light stops flashing, it will reset the security mode and start. left it sit for like 45 min... then started it right up.... might be worth trying
