With HPT it didnt matter if I left it as no error reports and SES checked on or off, either way it would not display any misfires unless it was set to report after 1 error cycle as it came stock. Glad to hear that this is not just a few year isolated issue but it sure sux because it can make finding problems a royal PITA!
