OK guys, refresh my memory a bit here. It's literally been months since I've really messed with the PT, and since the weather is getting better, it's race season. Over the winter, I've added alky, and a pair of drag radials, other than that, and my IAT sensor mod it's the same car that ran 12.97 last fall.

I went on Wednesday night, first time with the alky setup and ran consisent 13.60's with a pig rich crazy tune, 3.1 pulley. I was pulling some really good 2.0 60" times on my street tires. Finally got the hang of it and got her leaned.....Thursday night, I put a new belt and 3.0 pulley on it. Tuned, scanned, tuned etc and it runs GREAT on the street.

    Now Cue Friday night.

I've got my drag radials on, so we're talking about a stick situation. Good 2 WHEEL burnouts etc, and I'm pulling 1.9 60" times. Now here's where it gets complitcated. The car runs great, it seriously pulls harder than I've ever felt, BUT.......

Upon launch, even not hardly 1/2 throttle and approx 6lbs boost it pulls all the timing, now after about 100ft it adds all the timing back, and it comes alive. My times are 13.10 - 13.20's, and my trap speeds are 107-108 mph, so I am almost positive that it's not kr, my O2's are where they need to be, so I'm guessing it's torque management. But I'm not so sure where to mess with the settings in order to keep it from pulling THAT much timing. I don't want to completely disable the TM settings, but I don't want my timing to go to 0 now that I'm making some good HP numbers.

whats this IAT sensor mod u speak of? is the wiring tight and not loose causing connection to get unwound? how much KR are u getting when u apply 50% throttle and im guessin this i sonly happening when u get off the line?

The IAT mod is the faster responding sensors that I came up with about a month ago.

You are correct in saying that I only see KR at the line, I've seen as much as 17* which almost made me have to pull the seat out of my crack...but after looking at things, everything was as normal as it always was, just that timing was gone. I've done several "street" runs on my street tires, and I don't see it, unless I hook really REALLY well. So that's what is making me belive it's just the TM settings somewhere that I haven't dealt with, or haven't dealt with enough.

shameful thing is I couldn't get the PT so save my scans at the track, which is one of the reasons I started sticking with the Aeroforce gauges.

hmm i honestly havent touched the TM tables other than adjust the AFR from the stock values to match what is under the commanded AFR PE. do u have a wb? if not do u recall your O2s for the first 60'?

I actually picked up a WB over the weekend from a guy at the track but haven't put it in yet

I however do remember the O2's, and they were right at 940 until the KR showed up, then they spiked to 970, and after everything came back to life they went right back down to 915 right where they need to be. Like I said, when the timing comes back, and the stars line up it runs just PERFECT! I was actually amazed at seeing the trap speeds as high as they were, given the fact that it was such a crummy start.

hell, maybe I should just ease into it a little better rather than trying to get the engine to leave the car.

I think I've found the issue. In the spark tables it has a drivetrain abuse that seems to pull the exact amount of timing as I was seeing pulled. Sucky thing is I can probably only find out at the track...who knows when I'm gonna be going back.

engine>torque mangement>maximum torque-rpm vs gear, vs gear and vs rpm....spark retard-vs torque reduction and a cupple things under the abuse tab all have to do with tm. I'm sure you already know this but without disabling tm all the way it will still pull some timing.I think you were just asking how to reduce it so it wont pull so much...and thats the tabs you need to look for...theres more than just 1 or 2

Yup, that was part of it. I was seeing 15.1* of KR on takeoff, and there is a table that pull a maximum of 15.1* of timing when in drivetrain abuse mode. That has since been remedied though. I may have to add some of that back in though with the new stuff going in.
