I have a history of over complicating things, and i was wondering, am I over complicating things and thinking I have belt slip up top because it seems like more air flow would have more boost.

Belt slip usually spikes. Yours is a nice smooth curve. That actually looks fairly normal to me.

Did that fix it? Seems like an odd symptom. Guess I'll be mindful of it later on.

yep, that fixed it. one screw was 2 rotations away from flying off, so if the pulley wasn't on the hub like it should have been, there would have been play, resulting in belt slip. since then my boost amount has gone up to 10.7 max psi.
