I am looking at HP Tuner and haven't decided on Pro vs Standard, is the Pro worth the $150 premium? It will be used on a 2004 GP and a 01-05 Monte both NA with limited engine mods. The cars will be used for dirt track racing.

if you aren't using a wideband or some other external sensor there isn't a need for the pro version. the only difference is that the pro has an analog input so you can datalog external sensors.
And the fact that you can record with only the cable/box in the car and no laptop.
Owning one, I can say... it's worth the 150
I guess that would be the feature I would want, recording without the laptop.

So Pro is what you would want!
Before buying new, look around for a used one. I found a Pro for $340 shipped. has 8 GM Credits. It's used but I guess the guy re-loaded credits. You just need to watch the credits left is all.
there is an hp tuner pro used for sale on www.ls1tech.com has 4 credits remaining and guy is asking 500.

Another thing is .. if you have multiple vehicles with wide bands or additional inputs you want to monitor, you can buy that silly green thing on the side of the box. It just plugs in. So quick easy move from car to car and the ability to see those inputs as well.
I would vote for the pro version as well.
