Hey guys just got my wideband hooked up and I'm seeing a 10.8 at wot. So that means I need to lean it out right? I think I read to shoot for 11.5 on non ic cars?

10.8 is what they normaly command stock. You can command a higher AFR of around 11.2-11.5. Being intercooled has nothing to do with it, boost vehicles in general prefer a AFR around 11.5ish.

How do I go about doing that? Leaning the maf table?

maf 7,000 to the end, take a small amount out of those cells.

you could also lean out the pe folders time vs rpm.

No, change the commanded AFR under power enrichment.

On HP Tuners is as simple as changing the BASE AFR vs PE to whatever you want it to be. In HPT it's 12.4 AFR then it adds to the BASE AFR number by an RPM vs TIME table. Just for reference it's 12.4 + -0.800 to -2.000 depending on how long you are in the throttle and how much RPM. That's where the end number ends up somewhere around 10.8 AFR after a few seconds of full throttle.

Most people will disable the ADD vs RPM and set the BASE AFR vs PE to whatever they want to command, so that's where you'd put 11.5. If the AFR on the wideband was still lean or rich of that commanded AFR you would add or subtract from the MAF curve by 1-2% at the time to achive the commanded AFR.

If you have DHP the tables are likely called something slightly different but you still make the change there first and not touch the MAF curve at all.

hes got dhp, there is a commanded a/f per temp. but id find it hard to believe its set to 10.8, why you would take from the maf.

Well I did a few more wot pulls and I saw the gauge go as low as 10.2 but it seems to sit mostly at 10.6-10.8

Ya I mean that's one of the things I don't understand when I go wot my trims lick in at -1 so very very slightly rich but the wideband is 10.x which seems to be not crazy rich but deffinately more then a -1

Lol yea and just for everyone's knowledge the wideband and narrowband are basically right a cross from each other on the exhaust so there getting the exact same exhaust flow.

I had my tune with hp tuner set to command 11.8 afr at wot, but it wasn't even close to that, so I ended up either adding fuel or taking fuel away to get the 11.5 afr.

I looked at the fueling tables and only saw one table that table was for ifr and it was set to 14.7 so I'm assuming that table has nothing to do with wot afr

go to fuel, PE, then base PE a/f.

this is mine, seems mine is rather dead on with my wb.

just so everyone know your trims at wot are absolutely of no value they mean nothing at wot or in power enrichment who ever says otherwise is most likely not an automotive tech as every mechanics know trims are not active well in power enrichment the fact that it shows -2 is because that was the last seen LTFT that was recorded. Not trying to be a dick just don't want people thinking the roung info you could be lean at wot power enrichment and still have a -2 LTFT so make it leaner? Just saying don't pay any attention to the trims when in power enrichment wot

I did not know that I always thought fuel trims mattered at WOT. Thanks for the info, that makes a pretty big difference in my tuning haha

when i tuned my car with out a wb, i went off the trims, killed off 4ยบ kr, when i got a wb i was in the low 11's. so its pretty reliable if you ask me. not optimum clearly but it works.

ive also remote tuned a few guys, and a few of them had some really messed up trims. zzp tune with a N * is not a good buy, once again going off just trims, he said it feels like it just gained 30 HP. granted, he was flooding out big time. and hes still kr free.
