The NA 3.8 Fords were total turds. Anyone who thinks otherwise is smoking something. Hell the 4.6 wasn't even all that good until 99.

V6 Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers etc. are complete wastes of the planet's resources. V6's don't belong in those cars

    ????

The newer style mustangs that are v6 are pretty impressive for what they are so I disagree.

Not everyone has that big ego that you have to go big v8 or bust. When you can get a v6 that is putting out close to v8 power and pay less and get mpg what's not to like.

what people seem to forget is the old v8's like a 70's camaro 350, it only made 200 hp.

so a new v6 making 300 hp is a giant leap. nothing to laugh at.

hell my 97 gmc had the last of the 350's in it, it only made 190 hp.

The new V6's are all making north of 300 horsepower. To say that they are wastes is idiotic at best.

v6's arent frowned upon in most of the import world. they are like the v8's haha.
i mean either way theres a way to make power. depends on your goals. and if you feel the need to criticize somebodys ride because their engine isnt as big as yours you pretty much suck as a human being.

Totally agree, if you can get really good power from a V6 and get better MPG than than a V8 why complain. Especially since we got a planet to take care of. Want to leave your kids and grand kids a planet that has been heavily polluted.

Jaguar has a concept car now that can get 550 HP out of a 1.6 Liter 4 Cylinder.

    Jaguar's Next Supercar To Get 550 Horsepower 1.6 liter 4-Cylinder Engine - Gas 2

Get what you wish, but if I'm buying a sports car I don't care what year it is, I'm getting the V8 option. I'm buying a sports car to go fast and have fun, not to save gas or have a car that looks "cute." F that.

I couldn't agree more. The one exception is the V6 Mustang.... That car seems to fit a female for some reason. About 99% of the V6 Mustangs I see are driven by women and for some reason I can accept that lol If a guy is going to drive an old school looking muscle car it has to have the rumble of a V8. Just the way I look at it...

well, truth is the regal is my first ever v6. every other car ive ever owned was a v8.

had a jeep with a 4.0, but it was the girls car, i hated it with a passion pos engine.

3800's are the only v6's I've ever owned... but I've had many!
Other than that it's been all v8's with the exception of one 4 banger

this is going to turn into "well my car is better than yours" thread. The way i look at an engine is what are you going to do with it? then determine what is the best size engine for the job. i cant see having a v8 when im traveling 200+ miles a week nor can i see have a 4 banger to haul a boat. i like the sc 3.8L its a good blend of both trust me i have had 250 all the way to 455's. also some engine are just flawed from the get go and it dont matter who the heck made it.
im a cookie again yay me

I've had 1 v8 and 2 v6's. the v8 was a lot of fun don't get me wrong, but I'd rather not have one in a DD. I'll get an LSx car sometime in the future for fun.
