    from my CL searches for A6 (ones in the late 90s to early 2000s) they all seem to have transmission issues both autos and manuals and doesn't appear that the ones i looked at were even modified.
    old setup-Z7 Turbo Kit w/T66, A2A I/C, stock cam & valvetrain/LS1 MAF/Ported 99TB/PowrTuner/AFC/Devils Own/LS1M Scanner/PRJ FP/42# Injs=12.3@118mph street tires -

    Not sure if bmws are your thing but AWD 3.0 6cyl, needs work but looks Straight and the rust front the pics does not look bad. I've seen a lot worse on rides in this forum

    You could find another GP for $3k. Not a GTP, unless it's a rust bucket.

    For $3k, I'd focus on Thunderbirds/Cougars.

    screw the tbunderturds when was the last time you seen one on the road? i cant remember. 3800 powered anything cheap and everyhwere...... i vote another wbody.....

    I see thunderbirds all the time. Supercoupes are fun, cobra swaps for the 4.6 are fun to. the 5.0's hold a place in my heart though.

    a buddy suggested a turbo coupe lol. i dont much ans power potential of 5.0 foxbodies but they sound really nice exhaust wise.

    Personally I'd look for a 1st Gen DSM with the turbo. They're cheap, cheap to mod, and still rather plentiful.
