This guy knows what's up...
But I'm guessing you already tried that.

yep.. Cleaned it first, then bought a new one... Still does the same damn thing... Im 99% sure its the gas control valve. It acts like it doesnt get enough gas/or the gas shuts off right after it lights... If I can think about it, Ill grab a video.
Just a thought. My furnace in our new to us house is really picky with filters. I like to run a pleated merv 10-12 filter but they only last a month in the winter before the furnace cuts out from lack of air flow accross the air box. They still look clean but are plugged a bit. This winter i switched to merv 8 and get 2 months solid so far with no issues. I also leave the front top half cover off to help disperse heat and that helps.

Gotta love furnace issues, especially in the winter. My heat exchanger went last year on a 15 year old Carrier, during a cold snap and big winter storm of course. Was dumping CO in the basement and kept shutting off, and me not knowing anything about HVAC, kept resetting it. Year before that, the motor ECU went. Quoted $1500, replaced myself for $300. Last year, I had it all replaced with a Ducane/Lenox. Good luck on fixing that issue. It's irritating.
Thanks guys.. I figured out it was the gas control valve. Part is $300 and I cant do it myself since I have to adjust the flow control on it to convert it over to LP. So labor is gonna run me another $150~
Yea getting the part wasnt the problem... It was the ability to adjust the flow pressure... I dont have the right tools to do that.
jump connections from thermostat, inducer motor comes on, igniter flares and lights furnace, kicks off....clean flame sensor or change.
If it still does it more than likely the control board. But if you have LP beats the snot out of me.
I have replaced 2 boards in the last 2 weeks.
I swapped out the flame sensor after cleaning it. And I jumped the connectors from the pressure switch. What ever is going on is killing the gas feed. They are coming out Tuesday to diagnos and fix. I’m fairly certain it’s the control valve.
No error codes...that is old lol. Man I hate furnaces. You hope that all fail safes work. I had an apartment with hot water baseboard heating. Woke up one night to 51 degrees in the winter. Landlord came over along with the HVAC guy. Gas boiler was dumping gas and didn't have the right mixture and kept trying to ignite. When I woke up around 3am to check the boiler, a fireball shot out of the bottom of it. Found the boiler breaker real quick haha.

So... I have a few old albums that i have been collecting.... Thinking about getting rid of them..... Not sure though.
