I love the snow.
We've lost two trucks at work in the last week. The service call guy got sideswiped last week by an oncoming driver. He was against the guard rails on the passenger side trying to get away from the driver.
Today the GM was on his way in, hit a patch of ice on a downhill going into a curve and went over an embankment.
Thankfully everyone was okay, but both trucks are probably totalled.
Service truck was a F150 with EcoBoost V6. GM's truck was a Toyota Tacoma with (I believe) the 3.4 V6.
Yup, no cars in sight in any direction; would have made for a good show. LOL
In your dreams to power through. This sh!t is thick and wet, and when it grabs you it don't let go. I was counter steering and throttling, and it didn't let go until I was almost stopped.
Almost bit it this morning, doing 110km/h on the freeway when all of a sudden the two inner lanes are covered is slush. Luckily I got over a lane and missed it. Pretty sure somebody will bite it there if they haven't already.
you would have heard my engines screaming if that was me, you didnt give it enough gas, or tc was on, and right there is the issue. tc sucks, you need wheel speed/spin to power out of crap.
That's why I'm happy about my TCS switch. Lol
I think I did a full city block-length sliding sideways, AWD is a completely different beast than either FWD or RWD, and even 4WD. It only catches when the front wheels slip, and at that point the rears just slip right off the bat, so it gets fun. Lol
I used to attach a water-ski rope to the hitch on my Bronco, then after a few beers, I'd make my friends let me drag them around on these.....
I would go into corners in 2WD, then pop into 4WD and hammer out of the corner. It was always fun trying to hear what my budz were yelling as they came up beside the Bronco.
