Being here for over a year now, and the forum, to me, feels like its really progressing in the right direction. Members all appear to be very happy with one and other, everyone is participating in making it a great place to be, and doing their part to help others where they can.

I just have to say thank you everyone for making this such a great place to be!

Im glad everyone likes it here. We have tried our best to make it a community everyone enjoys and can be proud of and say that they are a part of. But truly, its all of you that make this the place it is. Without all of you there would be no community. Without all of you being so helpful, forgiving, thoughtful and courteous, this would be just another forum much like others.

So I must say to all of you thank you for taking a personal stake in this community, for caring enough to say hey something is wrong here and sending messages to have it looked at or for the welcome all of you give to new members and for being willing to answer the questions that are often repeated. Yeah, it would be great if everyone used the search feature, but sometimes its just easier to post the question and tap into the expertise here. I see a great number of people here do use the search and thats a really good thing, but its equally great when the members here answer a question even knowing the answer could probably be found using search. Im as guilty of just posting up a question as any before searching.

My goal for this year is to add a lot more technical type information to the site. Stuff that isnt always easily found elsewhere. Im also going to try and get more How To's up on the site, well Chris has been doing all the work getting it into the How To section, but Im going to try and get more content put up, How Tos that arent the mainstream stuff that everyone finds.

I'll be out of debt in a few months and hopefully that will free up some play money for doing a few things Ive had in my mind for a while now. Once all the debt has been cleared Im going to be spending time this year finding a house, or if possible building one, and I have every intention of doing all I can to make sure I have space and tools to do things that up to this point have been difficult to carry out where we are at now.

Anyway, thanks again for everyone here that makes this truly such a great place to be. You all should be very proud of yourselves. YOU are what makes this place stand out.

Just to add to the above I would like to thank all the members also for making this a great forum for the Grand Prix community. There is always going to be discussion or conflict no matter where you go but at least here isnt useless garbage being posted up when someone needs help and asks a question. To the post above about feeling like asking a dumb question - ASK AWAY! that is what everyone is here for! There is no reason to slam or put down someone that doesnt know the answer and others may learn a thing or two also when more involvement is expressed. I think it helps that this isnt a heavily biased forum and again everyone is going to have their own opinions but it would irritate me to no end on another gp forum when someone was having trouble with the car starting or not running right and then 10 guys jump in and say "Its because of your brand X cam-take that junk out and use brand Y and it will fix your problems" . I mean seriously, what does that do for the guy in need of assistance? This forum was started to try to stay clear of that nonsense and be a nice laid back and level minded place to post up and hang out which it has done an excellent job of! Sure there are more posts and people at a few other sites but you dont have to feel worried about what everyone else thinks when you post here. And for the new or less experienced GP owners I feel it is better sometimes to start with a fresh slate than to dig through possibly years of old info elsewhere and read 100 different views on something. If all else fails try and try again and prove to yourself what works and what does not, everyone is going to give advice that worked for them and maybe others as well and that is fine but there has been a lot of changes in the knowledge of how these clocks tick in the past few recent years. I hope to see this forum continue to grow and stay the great place it was when it started a year ago

I can't agree more with everyone. I have been here less than a year and it feels like I have known most of you for longer. Thanks everybody for making this such a great place to be. Another note on the dumb question, you might think it is a dumb one, but it might be one that can help the next guy out. So basically, no question is dumb if you get the answer you are looking for. We can't forget our Admins and Mods, if it weren't for them keep it in line and fixing problems that occur, this site wouldn't be what it is either. So a big and to them and all the members we have and will continue to get.
