If the general population didn't need to have all these gadgets and extra electronic crap in order to properly drive a vehicle it would certainly make for a better vehicle IMHO, but apparently I need all of my sh*t to sync up whenever I step into a car.
I guess being able to control the lighting in my house, the thermostat, sprinkler system, having the car check my distance so I don't plow through the garage wall when pulling in, reminding me that I'm late for dinner (no fvck, why do you think I'm pulling into the driveway at 90mph, duh..) and feeding the dog would be cool, but in reality I don't care.
Unfortunately some of us are in the small group of people that actually check our own blind spots before changing lanes, don't talk or text on the phone while driving, can parallel park, and know how far to pull into a garage no matter how much crap your 6 year old left in front. I just want a car that is comfortable, decent on mileage and has some power when needed. All I see this techie crap for is a distraction from the driving experience and another way for people to track where I am and what I'm doing. I drive to get away from things for a bit not be constantly harassed AND try to drive and avoid all the other non-drivers on the road. Driving is hard enough, why clusterf*ck it with other junk??
