My dad bought a '50 Ford way back in 1962 and somehow we've kept it over all these years. My brother and I are fixing it up now. took out the old flat head engine and put in a 302. drop spindles, disc brakes, updated interior (Mark VII leather) which we will have totally redone to match the cars fresh paint job. We are going Candy Brandy Wine (gorgeous deep maroon color) We dynamatted the whole car, tore out every old wire in it and ran an entire new wire harness from front to back. I've been checking on projectors for the front, have new LED tail lights for it and now it's coming down to the sound system. as you can guess we are dumping tons of money everywhere. So I've come to you guys to figure out what speakers, placement, stereo in general or how do I go about finding out? being an old car it's not like you can just upgrade the system, that would be a single speaker in the dash and an AM radio lol.

being so old im sure theres no holes in the doors, but you could cut some.

the rear speakers i always used a speaker boxes for 6x9 speakers, then round sub/amp combo deals fit well too.

then if you really want to spend money you can make or buy a custom speaker box deal for the back wall of the cab.

as far as what radio, that all comes down to do you want to cut the dash up or not. skys the limit on what set up you want. double din can be done easy. its just a power and ground wire to run it, the rest your running all new speaker wires and all for any HU you use.
