You can buy turbo kits for a decent price, I think GMR badass has a z7 kit still for like $2500

I dont want to get into a whole bashing zzp thing bc i dont know first hand but i will find out soon enough My point was I think you can use a stock bottom end and be just fine and it will save you some funds.

The OP is ignoring me so I'm out. Put aluminum heads on a 455 with a nice cam, paint the whole thing blue, done. Leave 326 emblems on it and lie, the engines look the same from up top. Building a 500 HP 326 would cost more and make less sense than any of the options mentioned so far. Pass the LS bong to the next guy.
