Yea I'd say women probably get the worst of it when it comes to getting ripped off. That and someone who brings their car in and says do you what you need to fix it.
Had an experience on the Mazda I used to own. Brought it in to have the belt replaced as it was middle of winter and nowhere to work on it remotely warm. He called me, told me it only took an hour and to come pick it up when I'm ready. When I got there he told me it took almost 2 hours and that he was going to charge me 200 bucks and denied saying it only took an hour on the phone. I said I wasn't paying that and luckily my phone recorded the call and I played it for him. Payed for the hour, He told me to get the **** out and never come back. The shop ended up closing a few months later.
