Is there such a thing as an aluminum Plate on the back of a L67 that can leak coolant or oil?
I looked at my spare 02 L67 just now. Yep. Looks to be a cam retaining plate, maybe the bumpstick goes in from the back on these. Anyway yep thick plate behind / above the flexplate. Triangular like it goes out over the ends of the oil passages.
I believe the freeze plugs might be aluminum
Rear engine cover is aluminum and can leak both
Interesting, I never noticed. At my school we rebuilt a l67 and its leaking coolant from the rear of the engine. The instructor says its probable the cover, which I was not aware existed lol. Dropping the trans with the subframe was thought to be the easiest way so were doing that
Yeah..I did the one on the original Regal motor when I did the trans swap.
Here's the cover

It is right behind the flex

I like to RTV both sides of the gasket at the bottom 1.5 inches. Then add maybe a pound of extra torque and some red loctite. I'll almost bet you find the bolts are loose when you remove them.
Golf cart melted a battery terminal and part of the copper connector. Resulting in me to walk about a mile back to the house to haul it back with the 4 wheeler for my grandpa to bandaid it with some flat washers he had laying around.

Might have helped if you cleaned the cable end while you were at it.
I really want to redo the cables with heavier cable. Under stress uphill they get pretty hot plus they all are pretty dry looking on the ends.

Trying to diagnose this stupid Chevy express 5.7l intermittent no start. Has fuel pressure, has spark, and has crank signal obviously. Cranks normal. Just won't fire.
Does have codes. P0121 tp sensor problem
Two O2 heater codes
And P1810 trans pressure switch manifold.
Got it running with starting fluid... First time ran for a few seconds and died. Second time it stayed running. So fuel issue.
