thats easy, buy new speakers lol
I have a set of Bose 6x9's in the garage but the connectors and wiring are totally different.
yup, cut the factory wires off solder on the new ones that came with the new speakers. note what wire on the factory plug goes where one side is a fat blade, the other thin. you want to keep them in the same orientation.
Well I've got 4 wires coming off my factory speakers and only 2 wires on the Bose. I also have a set of factory GP 6x9's and they're the same way.
oh you got that crap set up. you need to make sure the speakers are the right ohms or some crap. or they wont work/sound right.
iirc you need 2 ohm speakers or some crap like that.
Yep that's my issue. The damn monsoon system. I think you're right though I believe it's 2 ohms.
you best bet its to ditch the stock set up all together. hint, a double din will fit in your dash. you need to trim a little in the back.
run all new speaker wires from the new HU. add amp and sub if wanted.
That sounds fun.... Not. I hate wires.
Da fuq did you do?
F! that looks like it hurts. my hands look like i punched someone in the mouth about 20 times from the header install.
Ace: Looks like you screwed up the batch, YO!
Clay: I'm biased and love my setup. I pulled the monsoon amp, and all the wires for it up to the front dash. Pulled right out of the loom (pass side). It's about 30 wires. I laid the power wire for the amp in there and ran all the preout cables on the driverside of the car. Boston Acoustic mid level door 5.25" and 6x9's, also a G3 10" sub. 5 channel Boston Acoustic amp, I think it's the GTA5000. Knu for all the wiring. Fresh wires to everything. Made the box for the sub so that it fits in the passenger rear corner of the trunk where it's unusable space anyhow. Mounted the amp, inverted under the rear deck. Put the tweeters into the stock housing/location.
