Get your mind out of the gutter.

Lol, was just cleaning the Disco today and took the Hi-Lift off of the bumper and starting wondering if I actually liked it better removed. So I figured I would see what all of you thought.

I definitely like it better without, but there's something to be said about knowing where such things are and being able to get to them. So I guess it becomes more of a matter of function over appearance or vice versa.

Thats true, but the Hi-Lift can be mounted a number of different places on the truck. It can be put on the side of the rack near the rear, it can be mounted on on the spare tire holder on the back door, etc....

In that case I would move it from the front, definitely looks better without it up there.

It does look good without it, but at the same time adds that extra touch to the get the F outta my way front bumper.

I think it could be better used somewhere on the back of your truck.
if you burried the front in mud hole and it somehow got drowned out you could crawl out the back (maybe) and get to it without getting chest deep in mud. and use it winch out. or when was the last time you've seen someone not have access to the back of their rig on a trail.

I would personally try to find a place inside to keep it out of the elements so it is not rusted and unusable when you really need it. If you keep it out side keep a good coat of wd on it.

I like it on the bumper as well, but it will probably be moved just for the simple fact that it would be easier to pop the hood/shut the hood with it located somewhere else since you have to remove the handle each time to allow the hood to pass.
