They have a crapload of privacy settings for it. If you really don't like it, put it back behind your TV facing the wall, put some tape over the camera/microphone.

It may seem like an inconvenience now, but with this move of having everyone of them have it, there may be a lot more developers putting it to good use or much more useful stuff coming out for it in the future.
