I've rode in a car from NE Indiana to Colorado. Drove from NE Indiana to Orlando non stop, stayed a week then drove non stop back. Made it back in 15.5 hrs. No slower than 90mph. And when I go somewhere I drive and don't let anyone else. (everyone else drives too damn slow for me)
I drove to Fort Myers Florida (from Kansas City) to pick up my gtp, loaded it up and turned around and drove back non stop. If I remember correctly it was around 22hrs.
Drove from CT to Oregon. Went non-stop to Twin Falls, Potaho 36 hours. Slept 8 hours and did another 10 to Oregon. Next day drove another hour to their coast and got a pic of the car in front of the Pacific.
Its nice to hear that im not that crazy for flying 16hrs in a plane. but I did drive the alaskan highway once will never do that again. It took 4 days to get through canada. I took the night shift for my cousin who was moving down south.
drove to fort myers flordia numerous times used to go 4 times a year back when my grandpa had a condo there. thats also where my gtp is from. thats 1300 miles then flew to jamaica and mexico once the ride to jamaica was hell
ive flown corner to corner of this country. and driven over a million miles total since ive gotten my lic.
if you need to fly a long flight, first class is the only way to fly, i did round trip 2 times NJ to LA first class, they feed you the whole way and the drinks just keep on coming, oh, and you watch what ever move you want to watch on your own screen, with real head phones, and eat with real silver wear lol
i did spend 10 working days in the KC, ne, mo, and ok area. put over 4,000 miles on the rental truck, the guy at the rental place was like where the hell did you go????then wanted to rape me for mileage charges, he handed me a bill for like $2000, i was like re read sir, i have unlimited mileage. the company i worked for had a national account. and got great rates.
Longest drive I have done was 5,000 miles from Anchorage, Alaska to Ocala, Florida.
Longest single day I had in there was the last, which was 1,800 miles from Denver, CO to Ocala.
All of it was totally solo.
Longest flight I have been on is also Alaska to Florida, and I've done that many times.
9 hours 30 minutes in a plane to Rome, Italy
10 hours 23 minutes coming back from Rome, Italy to Atlanta
11 hours to Charlotte, NC from Memphis
12 hours from Memphis to Freeport, MI (and I have to do that drive in 4 days yeeeeep)
Been in a moving truck from southwestern, PA to Las Vegas, NV. Also traveled back and forth from LV to PA several times as a kid. Also in a moving truck from PA to Washington, and back. Also flew from Pittsburgh to Seattle, then from Seattle to Ketchikan, AK, and then the return flight.
Longest drive I have ever done in a day, with me actually driving, was from PA to Charlotte, and back. That was about 12 hours of driving.
i did 20 hrs in a roll off truck one day, running from north to south jersey. over and over and well you get the idea.
10 hrs a day was the norm, then there were the 12 to 15 hr days here and there.
