I can only describe that **** as sinister. I wish the front end had a different flair to it (the grill looks like crappy teeth), but it's a worthy successor. GM, you may have done something right for the first time in 5+ years.

ferrari right whys it say corvette
anyone have any idea if GM lived up to its word and put a super tiny turbo'd V8 in this bizitch
LT1...
of.
fail.
eh it has potential.
im curious to see how SLP/comp cams deal with the direct injection/ VVT with fuel pump lobe.
as usual GM has potential to have great products,(they do have access to better componets in foreign markets) but they focus on the electronic gizmo **** instead of making a true drivers car.
agreed.
i honestly think if you took all the GM Vette design techs for a ride in a old '50s/'60s Ferrari or a Miata, even.. they would understand what they're supposed to do with their lives.
Gee whats more funny a vette with a GTR roof line or a GTR with quad round vette style tail lights???
Errr Um scratch that last part.............
i like it. i like the tails too. hell, i think it overall looks great. but hate me for it. front end is still vette, i dont really see the resemblence to the viper (minus the led headlights), the rear is fairly unique.
x2 for the rear.
I watched the unveiling earlier and I have to say wow.... beautiful design. I always said the corvette was decent looking but lacked a certain aggressiveness. THIS is what it needed. And some don't like the rear because it looks "camaroish", well guess what, it looks fantastic.
GM outdid themselves here. 6.2L LT1 with 450 hp/tq estimated and a 7 speed manual w/ rev matches. It's 57% stiffer; yet 100 pounds lighter. Oh, and the base model pulls over 1g on the skidpad. :th_drooling:
This whole mess is "blah"
I'm sure when I see it in person I'm going to want to splurge all on it. Love when new Vettes come out, makes previous Vette prices drop. Already seeing a few C6's going for low 20's FTMFW!
If I had $55k, I'd still bring home a GT500 instead. Yeah, the 'Vette is fancy, sleek, and can go around a circle fast. However, a GT500 can take me and 3 *****es to DQ for a milkshake as fast as I care and still put down 11 sec passes all day.
How hard is it to make circle tail lights with that back end? GM screwed it up so bad.
Further reason why I like the way the GT500 is going and would buy a Viper if I had the funds to do so.
Considering these are the same renderings and same concept design from early last year I hope this is not what GM will actually release. But ya never know, no info has come to the dealerships on any of the 2014s line-ups as of yet, so we will just have to see.
You all suck.
I'd buy a Rossion Q1 before any C7, SRT Viper GTS, R35 GTR, or Camaro...whatever the current fastest all around car is for $75~ or less.

Lightweight, mid-engined, TTV6, USA BUILT AND TESTED ON FLORIDA CLOVERLEAF's? yes.
kthxbie.
But I can fix a GT500 in a parking lot at any major parts store myself if need be... It's affordable, economical, and parts are common with a popular car. I'm a practical person.
