    who ddo you think were the crazy guys who thought to put a 500cube caddy motor in a tbucket, in the first place... or put a lift kit on a 57 belair and move the rear axel up like effn 2ft to get better traction.. not us... those crazy sunza btchez make our mods to our cars look like chopliver

    I never said it wasn't. You misread my 2nd post. I stated its popularity did not grow until after WWII. Not once have a stated there was no racing before. When the many service men returned home they still wanted to go fast and there was an increase in car modifying. Why do you think speed shops all the sudden starting popping up?

    And it's general knowledge it didn't get popular with the general public until AFTER WWII. Ironic how you used the year 1957 in your post to argue mine. LMAO
