If you are looking to do upgrades then get a set of Vortec heads. Best money you will have ever put into that engine and you wont believe the power gain once it is all back together. Scoggin Dicky sells a ton of stuff for small blocks such as these heads and their own intakes to match them. Back around 97 or 98 I had a magazine that they took an old style mid 70s 350 sb and freshened it up and dynoed it and it made about 250 hp. Then they added the Vortec heads and picked up 80hp! NOT BS! The engine had a good aftermarket 4bbl intake and carb as well as headers and I believe it had a very mild cam, but the head swap was just a head swap with no other parts. I can claim this true because I did the head swap myself on my Cutlass back in mid 98. I picked up .8 and 6 full mph in the quarter just swapping the heads with zero other changes! They gave the engine a lot more all around power, not just topend and really gave it a lot better low end and mid range power which is what a truck needs and also what these heads were designed for. They are cheap and are more than worth the gain in power. My buddy Ryan at Sinister Performance also custom tunes chips for those computers so you may run by some ideas with him and he can help you out with what you need for the EFI end of it.
