Honestly these days, as long as its not on your face or hands and isn't offensive or vulgar in anyway, a good amount of jobs are fine with it.

I'm going into being a mechanic and the guy told me I needed to bring my 1 inch stretched ears down to 1/2 an inch or smaller.

He didn't even care at all about my tattoo that covers the entirety of my forearm.

And if all else fails you have that awesome looking long sleeve dress shirt and are walking around with style

I vote for calf. Easier on the pain, easier to hide if needs be (though I know that's not typically a huge issue), and will cause less "distraction to those around you" (e.g. constant stupid questions).

But for real do. As much as I want a fore arm one also, Id do the calf. Like everyone said easier to hide.

I would get it on my forearm. Its going to get noticed more then your calf. Plus you live in IL and you could get away with short sleeve shirts in the winter, shorts are a bit more difficult to pull off.

I have ink on both my forearms, but in the Military ink is a common thing and no need to hide.

If I could afford it, I would have full sleeves, back piece and legs done.

Id go with the calf if anything I dont know about you but I wouldn't want a palm tree tattooed on my forearm no offense. Your still young (so am I) I wouldnt get anything below your elbows IMO thats why I haven't. There is still plenty of time in your life to think. My dad is 45 now and had all his tattoo's since he was 18 and he hates everyone of them. I know not everybody's the same but you never know how you might feel about your tattoos in years to come. Yeah cause if they tried to separate me for neck and forearms, I would sue they azz. Good thing I came in back in 03.

Everyone that has gotten multiple tattoos has said the worst was their calf and shoulder, but Bio apparently is the exception to this rule. Cause he's a hardcore badass like that. LOL

I vote inside of the forearm. Wherever you get it make sure it has some meaning because everyone will be asking about it.

it was my first tattoo. and second. i dont have it anywhere else. if it's easier everywhere else then that's good for me in the future.

i've always heard it's worst when the muscle is really close to the skin or over where the bones are really shallow. you know, knuckles, elbows, ribs, knees, feet, etc.

the calf was really easy for me.

These are ours. Mine is on my right bicept and my wifes is on her foot. Mine didn't hurt too bad. My skin did not like the tattoo at first, but it looks good now
