So I was at my local Radio Shack the other day picking up some little parts for my project. Mostly just some ring ends and some other stuff. I started talking to one of the guys there. Unlike most of the usual guys there that don't know crap, this guy was super sharp. He's going to school at the U of U. Not sure if it's electronics based, or if he just likes electronics, but knew quite a bit.
I was mentioning to him that I had taken apart my water temp sensor(PLX) and that the electronics in there don't seem to be all that intense if you knew what you were doing. He suggested a book that I bought called, "Practical Electronics for Inventors". We were also talking about some of the Arduino modules that you can purchase and essentially program to run certain functions. He also pointed me toward a website at Welcome - Fritzing where people can put up designs for small electronics to do functions. There are a lot of tools where you can design your own as well.
Anyone on here know more about these things or have any of you done any of these things?
