I'm struggling with believing you managed to get a Ranger through 22" of snow, unless it was really light and fluffy or the Polaris was sitting on a lift with tall tires. I love my Sportsman, but the only thing I do with it in 22" of snow is plow my driveway.

I have a 5 foot plow on my Grizzly 660. Some serious 26" Dirt Devil tires and the other year we got hammered with snow. Luckily my Warn plow lifts nice and high. Therefore I was able to go through a lot. Hit the streets to help out family and neighbors family etc. There were a couple of completely unplowed streets where I was lucky to paddle along in 4wd and kinda riding on the skid plates. I want to say that was around 20 inches or so of snow. Without the extra weight of the plow and winch..I probably would have done a lot better. Or maybe I would have been high centering... nah... the Grizz and I weigh enough to find pavement..lol

Now..gimme a snow mobile track and it's gravy.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

never rode "trails" before, just on neighboring farm fields and family owned private land. My last sled was a 199 ZL600, before that I had a 1997 Thundercat, that thing was built to the balls! Who knows, when I go back up to Michigan this winter I might get bit by the bug and buy another sled lol

tails are kinda boring until they open up a little. you also need a fairly nimble sled to go fast in trails.

i always liked going up into the UP and riding the old railroad track trails. 20 yards wide means couple mile runs at 80+ mph. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
