The thing is, the second time I installed Windows 7, I had Windows Updates disabled. I had Steam, Guild Wars 2, and Borderlands installed which were much bigger than the entire 123 updates I had to do. That still booted up within that same time frame.

Maybe I am expecting too much out of this build, though I expected a 3.2 Ghz 3930k and an SSD to make things blazingly fast upon boot time.

Where does it hang? The animated windows logo or the loading screen just before the desktop?

    The "Starting Windows" screen.

The Windows logo comes together and dims in and out for about a minute before it goes to the login screen.

Edit: Yeah, the animated windows logo

If TRIM wasn't enabled, that could explain the slow down. Try this..

If it is enabled, then the only other thing I can think of at the moment would be to check the manufacturers site for your SSD and see if they have any diagnostic tools that could help you out.

Out of curiosity, what's the model of this SSD?
