I'm looking at 97-03 GTPs. I want one for a daily driver.

I've looked at a couple already and driven a few. I used to own a 97 GTP. So I'm familiar with these cars.

I've noticed the 97-00 cars I can pick up cheap. Like under 3k and the 01-03 GTPs I can find them for 4-6k. Lower mileage ones I can pick up for around 7.

I'd like an 01-03. What's some common issues I check or look for right from the get go while looking for one of these cars.

LIM gaskets tend to go look for leaks same with oil pan gaskets, also look for signs that in the rain the floor boards get wet due to a leak from engine compartment

Don't spend over 3k for one, period if you can help it.

Do you plan to mod in any way?

00 is my favorite year by far. It's a 12 year old car. An 03 is an 9 year old car.

I'd like to DD it. Mods maybe Ubend delete, CIA and maybe a ram air good for looks.

Down the road after its not a DD anymore. I'd like to drop the pulley size and do supporting mods as needed.

Not my first go around with a GTP and modding.

Sorry, Didn't see the other thread. I've been neglecting to check for rust on the strut towers. How could I forget that.
