After getting sick of my '10 Malibu, I'm trading it in. It's got 35k on the clock and I'm tired of the issues. I've taken it to the dealership twice already over interior/electric steering problems, the transmission is now showing surging issues, and it's just not fun to drive.
Today I went to the dealership and test drove a Mustang. I already knew what I wanted, what my car was worth, and how much the Mustang was worth. The one on the lot was an auto, but it was a base model as I specified and I loved it. So, after telling the salesman what I wanted, we haggled for a while, got to the price point I indicated, and they ordered one (nearest one to my spec was over 150miles away and would have cost more to transport it).
Arrival time is 4-6 weeks...
2013 Mustang
3.7 V6
MT82 6 Speed Manual
Gotta Have It Green
This is going to be my first brand new car and I'm pretty excited. Not bad for matching the gas mileage of the Malibu while spitting out considerably more horsepower and style... Plus I can keep up with 2010 and earlier 4.6 models.I'm still keeping my '00 Grand Prix. However, the other two are getting sold off soon and I'll just apply them toward the Mustang. I already know about the driveshaft and shifter issues, so I'll keep that in mind as I go forward from here.
