Never was all that good at photoshop (basic skills, like chop sticks on the piano ), but I'm trying to get better. Had this idea 20 minutes ago and wanted to go for a dry run. Opinions? What about the angle and size? Positioning?

I like what you are doing, but the angle is a little off, so is the size. I would think that would work much better with a straight on picture shot. Thats just me though.

Yeah, I had that thought too about the straight on shot. Like I said, I'm working with what I've got on my PC since this just came to me. Kinda hard to find side views of bare 3800 long blocks.

Size? Too big or too little? When I get a chance to bust out my camera I'll do something a little more professional. Just trying to hone in the skills.

Too small, and the angle is off a bit on that one.

Change the angle like everyone said, the size, and if it was me, I would erase the part of the engine that goes behind the front passenger light. To me I think it would convey that it is sitting in the engine bay. I like it though, it is a good idea and I would like to see the finished product after the sizing and the angle is right. If I have time, you can send me the pictures and I can give it a whirl if you want. I work with photoshop all day everyday, its my job......

I think I can simulate changing the angle of the engine, but I think I'll try taking a picture of the car at that exact angle (or dozens ) to make sure it works right.

I like the idea of cutting it off at the headlight... Maybe an open hood shot with the bare long block superimposed over the actual engine? Kinda like a skeleton superimposed on a person?

Anyone got some pics of mostly bare 3800 long blocks, short blocks, whatever? Surely some of you must with all those rebuilds that went on.

For the time being I'm going to stick with what you see in my sig until I get better. Practice makes perfect.
