For over a year since PLX came out with the DM100 OLED 2 1/16" gauge display it was on my list of things to buy for the Cutlass. Early this year they came out with a DM200, which is a 2 3/8" slightly larger gauge, and released this with OBDII scanning ability. I was stoked! Display 4 lines of data and also interface with a PLX wideband that connects directly to it and can also display that data. These gauges are the cats' meow if you ask me and have won SEMA awards, they are just plain sweet! So I ordered one thursday after calling and asking some questions. I next day air shipped it to have it friday so I could get it in the car this weekend. Well it gets dropped off and comes with a list of viewable OBDII sensors and I was extremely dissappointed. NO KR is available nor is much of anything at all. MPH, RPM, Timing, O2 sensors, IAT, MAP, ECT are viewable and that is about the extent of it. Some other stuff is on there but does not apply to GM vehicles so is useless. I called them up and told them how unhappy I was about this since I could have just bought an Aeroforce scan gauge since KR is generally the #1 thing most people watch and it is definately nice to view at all times on a gauge that is permanently mounted. I didnt get the great feeling that this will ever be added but expressed that they are really hurting themselves without this paramter to scan. So I figured crap now what? I love the gauge itself unquestionably and will be adding on the WB to it so I didnt want to send it back just to by it again but the usefullness of this gauge is limited for must of us GM guys, especially boosted cars that need to view things like KR. I talked to him for a while about needing to add it and I am supposed to get an update on this. Last night I powered up the gauge and not having KR was the least of my worries, this thing is SWEET looking! Very bright, multi color that you can change, you can make your own gauges and reprogram the screen to about anything you want..... if you have the time lol. I will likely be selling their products as they do make great stuff but the scanner really needs some attention for our needs before I get serious about this.
