If anyone thinks the zr1 will be faster you must be on crack. This will be an absolute beast. Plus it looks way better than the c6's (minus led headlights).

Guaranteed the 640/600 rating is underrated too; add in 355/30-19's and 3200lbs, EASY 10's on stock rubber. Being N/A this will rule the road course too (if you like that kind of thing).

Kudos to Dodge for making a true American sports car.

I love the ZR1 but im pretty sure this thing will be faster than it, i mean come on the ZR1 has 638HP and this beast is all N/A with 640HP.
ITS HAS 2 MORE HP!!!!!! SO IT WILL BE FASTER!!!!

Who the hell made this video? I made things like this in middle school.

Anyway, ya'll have no idea what I a stiffie I got when they unveiled this. I called my buddy up yellin in the phone.lol

The Viper has been my dream car since I was really small, and now, maybe one day, I can buy a new one.lol

For the people questioning performance vs the ZR1, I'm pretty sure the 2010 ACR still rapes the ZR1s...
And yeah, no matter what, the Viper is still cooler.
The evil LG8 still refuses to die.

Fiat had nothing to do with the Viper coming back. SRT made itself its own stand-alone company aside from dodge, specifically to produce the Viper and the SRT Trucks. Fiat was in the running to pickup the viper and re-open the Detroit plant, but never did. So the guys from SRT said, screw it, we will!

if you had read the article you wouldve seen this

    "
While the company considered using pieces of the
    Fiat
-Ferrari parts bin, Gilles and team chose instead to rework the internals of the previous Viper, which has soldiered on for several years as a track killer that was barely suitable for everyday driving. "

The price competes with the ZR1 as well, it is a sexy car. I'm glad they kept the Viper look in it. Its going to be sick nasty when official track numbers come out.

Of course off the line the new GTR will edge the viper but by 60-70 the viper will start running away... more then likely.

I don't know why people are so convinced the ZR1 will beat the Viper. (OMG its a GM, GM's never lose) The Viper already beat the ZR1 with LESS HP than this one will have.
