I'll hang on to my HD5830 thanks.
On a side note I upgraded from a 9800GT to the HD5830 for 50 dollars shipped. Shop around. You'll find something pretty good if you look carefully.

Ha I'm still running my 5770, I feel depressed about it thoughlol. I'll upgrade eventually.
7950. i love it. 12.8 drivers finally delivered.
Ram isn't holding you back unless its SLOW ram.
Even then, as long as its DDR3, its probably not costing you much more than a frame or two.
How about a SSD? They are dropping quick as hell.
Wont help frame rates but will improve overall pc experience.
Installed my first SSD drive about a month ago. Was amazed at the boot speed.
As far as GPU, I went from a 460, to a 560, because it was free (minimal difference in benchmarks)
Then picked up a 480 GTX for $50. It's a powerhouse. Accelero Xtreme III cooler keeps it below 50C in stress testing. BF3 with max settings doesnt dip below 40fps.
Also, 4Gb of RAM is usually plenty, unless you're doing lots of **** at once. Granted im using 8Gigs of RAM at 2600Mhz. i5 is at 4gigs stable.
Tho, my panties got wet from the new MSI Z77 Mpower board. Time to wait for 3000Mhz Ram, and get the CPU up to 5Ghz.
