BF3 everything cranked with 4xaa playing new expansion, new outside map, was getting 35-55 fps.6870 it was a picture slide show pretty much lol, very pleased. probably gonna drop the aa to 2xaa just to save ALOT OF FPS.

    They're 768's.

I found more stable gameplay with one running at a 40% overclock versus two running at stock speeds.

I find if I let it run at 60 FPS, its smooth as silk. If its down in the 40's, not so much. Need water

It seems the limits of air are closer with modern components.

Unless you're a moron like me with a huge 250/300W TDP cooler on a 150 W TDP card.

lols, that would help, kinda like my cooler on my cpu its also overkill lols.
after some research i downloaded msi afterburner, made my own fan profile, and oc gpu from 880-950mhz, and 1375-1450mhz and run furmark and some bf3 match, everything was smooth. never went over 80 celsius

I think after i get tired of my GTX460 i'm getting this Newegg.com - XFX HD-697A-CNFC Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Things been pissin me off lately with the Display Drivers failing. I updated the drivers a few weeks ago and I don't think my card likes em.

    thats probably your card failing.

Note AMD has worse driver issues.

And new cards are coming out sometime next year.

    Might be worth waiting.

Just played skyrim, turned some gpu graphs up, everything cranked 4xaa.
I am now cpu limited in skyrim, enter a town like whiterun and go 3rd person view and just stand there the camera will do circles around your character. after 20 minutes winodwed out check the grapsh, gpu hit 86% load, and hit 75 celsius.
my phemon II 945 @ 3.5ghz, graph showed only 2 cores were being used and even at 3.5 ghz use 99%....think they would have theis game to take as many cores as you have.. it is 2011 not 2005
Battlefield 3, everything crank gpu hit 99% constantly and gpu temp went to 86 celsius. BF3 also uses all my cores but doesnt use 100% of my cpu, 80% though ever give or take.
    I love Benching new parts.

2224 with slow card on physx and fast one on graphics with the overclock.

Graphics score is about the same, but the physx and combined scores were much higher.

    Curious really.

    3DMark 11 I think is next...

gave up 3 fps in skyrim in cpu limited parts.

    It works, but it doesnt.

    need water
