VSS is slowsauce.
I also have a sad face...
Can anyone go faster than 269.9? Either seems to be a threshold or I'm either not at the right RPM in the gear, downforce is a bit sketchy...or I don't have enough road at the LeMans straightaway...regardless my Veyron won't go faster than 268.x and my GTR/McLaren can't best 269.

It did this for me too with pictures. BEFORE YOU GO APE****. Forza saves each aspect in different save files. Go to your hard drive and look for whichever one says Tuning or says Corrupt and delete it. Cause it's not your whole gamesaves, just your tuning ****.
Oh and if you can make sure all your tunes are on cars. It shouldn't erase them, and then you can resave them again.

I'm going to guess it's a car specific glitch or oddity that may or may not be patched. I don't know if it's still like this in forza 4, but in 3, the Datsun 510 or whatever could be made to be essentially the fastest car in the game. Stock it was one of the slowest and oldest....

Keep beating my old score on the twin ring motegi autocross event, that's when I learned each time you get a new record, your credits received go up. I got 100,000 credits last time. It's only hard cause it has to be a clean lap, so no rewinds, and if you hit a cone, or get too slow, you basically have to start over.
